The Newbie's Guide to New York City-Part II- Where to Stay?

Finding a hotel to stay in in New York can be a bit overwhelming.  There are just a ton of options.  I mean a ton.

When choosing our hotel, I had some requirements in mind.  The hotel had to be close to the theater district, affordable, and unique.  After poking around on the internet and asking a trusted friend who travels to NYC for Fashion Week each year, I decided on Stay Hotel

Stay Hotel is located in Midtown Manhattan, just steps from Times Square and the Theater District.  Stay is an ultra-sleek boutique hotel complete with a trendy tapas restaurant, the Aspen Social Club.

The decor is mesmerizing.

The floor to ceiling aquarium wall in the lobby is fabulous.

Blown glass chandeliers hover above you as you make your way into the lounge.

Chrome and glass mingle with marble and mosaic tile.

 Check out the bubble lights.

And the water wall.

The Aspen Social Club is a perfect blend of ski lodge coziness and modern chicness.

The Stay Hotel has a vibe all of its own.  Techno music courses through the sound system in the lobby.  It's funky, fun and yet very relaxing.

Upstairs, the rooms are not too large, not too small, just right.  My daughter and I had a queen room and we were quite comfy.

Overall, our stay at Stay was pretty stellar and very unique.

Hugs,

Melissa
