A FORTunate Surprise!

When we arrived to the city yesterday, the monkeys were crusty and crunchy after being cooped up in a plane for hours.  Soon after we got to the house we are staying in, we had them go outside and burn off all of that pent up monkey energy.  We hadn't told them ahead of time that there is a fort in the backyard!  They were so surprised!









This backyard is very beautiful and functional.  There is an herb garden that we will be tending. I am so nervous because I have a black thumb.

Pete and I can sit on the terrace that overlooks the yard as the monkeys monkey around.



I was actually pleasantly surprised too when I saw this backyard for the first time.  I guess that I just assumed that most people in the city do not have yards.  Oasis found!

    Hi Betty! The kids burned off a lot of energy in the yard our first day. It has been raining off and on since then so we are in a holding pattern for playing on the fort. We are two blocks from Central Park, so they have so much room to run and play. What an amazing city this is!
