The kids and I thought that we would go and introduce ourselves to them today. It's the neighborly thing to do.
They have a lovely, barn-style, wood frame home. Tin roof. Rustic. (Love shack, Baby, love shack!) (Name that band.)
Not quite sure that it meets the home owners' color specs, but, hey, variety is the spice of life.
Our little man was the first person to introduce himself to the new residents.
"Uh, hello there?"
"Can I help you kid?"
"We just wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood."
"Why, that is mighty kind of you."
"Right, neighborly of you if I do say so."
"Well, thank you. See you later, Chicken Nuggets."
"Bye kid. What? Wait a minute. What did you just call us?"
"I think that kid just called us Chicken Nuggets."
"Well, I never..."
"Some people have no couth."
Loving our new neighbors,
Melissa
