The 12 Days of Christmas - Day 2

My sense of smell is very acute.  I have a super sniffer.  I am always asking Music Man if he smells something and I have my own made up adjectives to describe these mysterious odors.  "Do you smell that plasticy, electrical odor?" or "I smell something sweetish and spicy.  Do you smell that?" It drives him up the wall.

I am proud of my olfactory prowess.  It has come in handy from time to time.  Like the time when I was in college, and I smelled something metally and plasticy burning before any of my roommates did and I single-handedly put out the toaster fire in our kitchen.  My nose saved our lives I tell you.

So when you have a nose as special as my nose is, it is important to treat it right.  To reward it for all of its efforts.  And that is why I keep our house stocked up with yummy smelling candles.  My nose needs them.  It deserves them.

I recently discovered a local company that makes the most amazing candles and soaps (more on the soaps later).  When I walked into Indian River Soap in Downtown Melbourne, Florida, I achieved nasal nirvana.  I was like a kid in a candy store minus the calories.  There were so many enticing scents.  From delicate florals to bold spices, there was no scent left unsniffed.  Each scent was pure and natural, not overwhelming or artificial.

Indian River Soap's soy wax candles are hand poured.  They burn clean and last a long time.  And they come in some pretty yummy scents like, White Tea Ginger and Vanilla Coffee or Hibiscus and Lavender.

Maybe you are a connoisseur of candles like me or maybe you have some people on your gift list who are.  If so, I highly recommend Indian River Soap as your one stop candle shop. Noses across the nation will thank you.

One of these tiny tins would make a lovely hostess gift or a stocking stuffer.
Stopping to smell the roses and every other scent within a 50 mile radius,

Melissa
